Kurseong
Kurseong is a beautiful hill station and a sub division in the District of Darjeeling, West Bengal, India. Situated at an elevation of 1458 meters (4864 ft), Kurseong is only 30 km from Darjeeling. It has a wonderful environment over time and the winters are not quite as serious as Darjeelings. The neighborhood name of Kurseong is "Kharsang" which in the Lepcha language signifies "Place that is known for White Orchids". Kurseong is around 47 kms from Siliguri and is associated with the city by street and the Darjeeling Himalayan Rail route. The closest airportl is at Bagdogra Ariport (IXB). The town depends principally on schools and the travel industry. The best times to visit Kurseong are between Spring end and May and between the finish of August and October.
