Gangtok
The capital of Sikkim, Gangtok, is incredibly appealing, delightfully rowdy, and shrouded in clouds. It also offers breathtaking views of Mt. Kanchenjunga's distant skyline. Numerous trekkers use the picturesque hill station tucked away in the mountains and clouds as their home base when travelling to the Himalayan mountain ranges. From a cable car, you can have an even better picture of the mesmerising prismatic splendour and the lovely curving hill roads.
One of the most picturesque hill towns in the country is Gangtok, whose name translates as "hilltop." Gangtok is a living, thriving slice of heaven in the northeast, with everything in the perfect amount of balance, from a blending of cultural identities to urbanization. The third-highest mountain peak in the world, Kanchenjunga, is visible in awe from there. Along with everything else nearby, Gangtok is surrounded by a wealth of natural beauty, including the Tsomgo Lake, Ban Jhakri Falls, Tashi viewpoint, and other natural landmarks. Enchey Monastery, Ganesh Tok, Do Drul Chorten Rumtek Monastery, etc., are a few further locations worth visiting. A famous location for water rafting in North East India is the Teesta River.
