Rimbick
Rimbick is situated 71 Km from Darjeeling town and 124 km from Siliguri, West Bengal, India, at an altitude 2,286 m (7,500 ft). Rimbick is a small village in the Darjeeling district. The village is situated on the fringes of the Singalila National Park. Rimbick is also situated close to the Indo-Nepal Border. Rimbick offers rustic location surrounded by mountain ranges & forests and ofcourse very beautiful hills.
Rimbick is mostly popular as the last point of accommodation for those who go for the Sandakphu trek and the exit point of Singalila Trekking, also known as the Singalila National Park trek. From Sandakphu, two ridges go downhill towards the east, the one starting near Kalepokhri reaches directly to Rimbick, and the other ridge originating right from Sandakphu, goes to Gurdum and Srikhola, and from there to Rimbick.
Apart from being part of the Sandakphu trek route, Rimbick has all the natural attractions to make it an attractive tourist destination in its own right. There are plenty of budget accommodations where tourists can stay, including several home stay, hotels and trekkers' huts. The main attraction in Rimbick is definitely its trekking trails, which are a paradise to any adventure lover.
