Dazzling Gangtok
Overview
Sikkim is one of most beautiful tourist destinations in India. In terms of tourism, it is perhaps India's most underappreciated state. Sikkim is a landlocked state in northern India, bordering Nepal to the west, the Chinese Tibet Autonomous Region to the north and east, Bhutan to the east, and West Bengal to the east. Sikkim is home to many beautiful spots to explore, but Gangtok is its most valued possession. Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim, is a highland resort and one of the most well-known locations in northeast India. The third-highest peak in the world, Mount Kanchenjunga, can be seen in stunning detail from this location, which is renowned for its natural magnificence.
With its year-round pleasant weather and location inside higher Himalayan ranges, Gangtok becomes a great vacation destination. Gangtok, which is in the eastern Himalayan range and sits at an elevation of 1,650 m (5,410 ft), is home to people of many ethnic backgrounds, including Nepalis, Lepchas, and Bhutias. Since Gangtok is a gateway to Sikkim, tourism, which has its highest seasons in the spring and summer, is the city's main source of income.
One of the most attractive locations to visit in all of India is Gangtok, which is situated directly in the heart of the Himalayan range. It perfectly captures India's vast and diverse landscape. This is true for the majority of Sikkim. Sikkim, the second-smallest state in terms of area after Goa and the state with the fewest people, is still a top tourist destination because of cities like Gangtok, which boast incredible geographic location and magnificent surroundings.
